Robotic golf carts compared
Updated October 11, 2026
A robotic or follow-me cart carries your bag and follows you down the fairway on its own, so you walk the course without pushing anything. Most also work by handheld remote, and many have a manual push mode for tight spots.
How they follow differs. Some track a handset or tag you carry. Some use cameras or LiDAR to see you. Some combine both. The table lists what each brand says its cart does.

Some brands sell a motor kit that converts a push cart you already own. Those cost less than a complete cart.
What to compare
• How it follows: handset or tag, camera, or both. Camera systems mean nothing to carry, but read reviews on how they handle bright sun and crowded tees.
• Battery: most are rated for 18 or 36 holes. Hilly courses use more.
• Weight and folded size, if you lift it into a car trunk.
• Brakes and downhill control, if your course is hilly.
• Whether your course allows them. Many do, but check before you buy.
